1949 Wyandotte, Easter Bunny Delivery Motorcycle with Sidecar

1949 Wyandotte, Easter Bunny Delivery Motorcycle with Sidecar

Wyandotte's, Easter Bunny Delivery Motorcyle was originally sold with the Sidecar filled with candy. I wonder what kind of candy it was. Anyway, this classic tin litho push toy features an embossed rabbit outfitted in a police uniform.

Most likely it was intended to look like it was speeding quickly while standing still. As evidence of this the sidecar with fast running rabbit was slanted forward. The vehicle travels on three wheels and is completely made from heavy gauge tin litho. It has no motor.

It's a very colorful toy, but Wyandotte also had safety in mind as the edges were double folded. The wheels all roll smoothly.
